I was going to check out a specific book from the library tonight (yet another mode of procrastination), but when I checked the catalog it listed it as checked out with a due date of May 23. I guess I'll give up on reading that this semester. I'm assuming it has several requests and that's figured into the date it's due to be back on the shelf. I can't see how one person could renew it for months this far out.
Oh, right, the procrastinating. Yeah, I'm supposed to be writing an essay on Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. The usual tripe.

Did you try to check it out from a campus library? If so, the reason it's out until May is most likely because a faculty or staff member has it. They typically (automatically) get a much longer lending period of 3 months or so.
Ah, thanks Tina! That makes sense.
